About

My name is Francisca (Fran for my English fellows, Paqui for my Spanish ones but this last one has got me into a few awkward situations already so let’s not use it) and I happen to be Spanish. I have been learning English since I was little, however, my accent still betrays me. I have loved reading since I have a memory, and when my English was good enough I did not take long to drink English literature.

But why English? Well, Spanish is a beautiful language, but I just tend to love the easiness of the English language, how great and simple it can be all at the same time, something that is harder to achieve with Spanish. But don’t get me wrong, you will see Spanish authors here because Spanish has had and currently has (and I guess will have) really good ones.

Furthermore, I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and History, and so I thought I should give it some use. I want to be an editor when I grow up, but this will do for the time being.

I am also a freelance translator, and sometimes a writer, although I am better at the first.

“Coffee, music and books” are the words that define me as a person (what a cliché). I also like dogs, a lot.

Currently back in my beautiful hometown Benalmádena, in Málaga, Spain.
